Connecting a steering wheel and using force feedback

Dynamic proudly is the first ever FiveM script to support force feedback. Once you're in game, press "F10" in order to open the Steering Wheel Menu.

In game menu

Navigate to devices & settings, and choose your device, in the event that you use multiple devices, like separated pedals, e-brakes, etc. Dynamic supports multiple inputs, all you need to do is select both, by clicking on the checkboxes. If your device isn't found, make sure to have it's drivers open, like logitech g-hub first, then opening the game. You may also try clicking in "refresh devices" Make sure to also select the "Enable Steering Wheel" checkbox.

Proper configured wheel.

Once your device is selected, apply settings and go back into the keybinds menu, to bind your controls. In this screen you'll be able to bind several vehicles controls, just click on the "bind" button, and move the axis or press the button you'd like to bind. In case you steering wheel uses a axis for dpad, you may use the "virtual d-pad" feature, to bind axis values into virtual d-pad keys, allowing you to use the dpad as a button, without issues. By default, the settings are binded for a logitech g920. Once you've bind the keys, press "Save Profile" and you're ready to use, if you dont wish for force feedback.

Binds for a logitech g920 wheel.

You can check if everything is working in the telemetry menu.

If you wish to use force feedback, you must download the Dynamic Force Feedback Client Make sure to extract it, if you run it from the zip file, it will not work properly. Open the FFB Client, before or while in game, once opened you should see this screen:

Here you can select for devices, if the default device it selected is wrong. If it is right there is no need to click in "select" prior to using it. Once the FFB client is opened, you can go back into the game, into the main settings, and click "Enable Force Feedback"

Your steeringwheel should now have the force feedback enabled, if it is compatible with it. And you may enjoy now. In case it fails, you can try changing the port. To do so, just change the number and click Apply. Wait 3 seconds before enabling force feedback again. If even with other ports it doesnt work, make sure you don't have any aplication that hijacks all ports on your computer, like torrent clients.

F.A.Q:

  • I did everything but it did not work;

Some times, depending on the wheel, things might not go well if you alt tab too much, miss ports, etc. You can try simply closing the ffb client, and clicking reset on the "FFB Data port" section, and start the FFB Again. If it does not work, consider restarting FiveM, and/or Running the FFB Client as admin.

  • Does it work with X,Y,Z Wheel?

The current tested and know functioning wheels as of 28.05.2025 are:

Logitech G920/G29 Logitech G27 Thrustmaster T500RS
